World Refugee Day Naturalization Ceremony and Celebration

15 Jun 2018
10:00am - 2:00am EDT

On December 4, 2000, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution designating June 20th of each year as World Refugee Day (WRD). This day is celebrated globally and provides an opportunity to recognize the contributions of refugees in communities all over the world. WRD allows an opportunity to honor the courage and determination of those who are forced to flee their homes under threat of persecution, conflict, and violence.
This year, members of the Duval Area Refugee Task Force are organizing a WRD Celebration to be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 10:00AM until 2:00PM.

After the naturalization ceremony we will all walk with a parade of flags .3 miles to Southside Baptist Church for the 2018 World Refugee Day Celebration to begin at 11:30am.

Feel free to just join us for the Celebration at 11:30 at Southside Baptist Church:
